REIKI HEALING

Reiki Healing with Reiki Master Pip Waller

Reiki is also known as the USUI SYSTEM OF NATURAL HEALING (Usui Shiko Ryoho). It was rediscovered in the late 1800s by Dr Usui who studied ancient texts for many years, then climbed a sacred mountain and fasted and meditated for twenty-one days, after which he received a vision, and an initiation from the God-force, or Spirit. Dr. Usui named the healing energy REIKI, meaning UNIVERSAL LIFE ENERGY Rei - Ki has been translated ‘universal life energy’, but in fact the characters ‘Rei’ and ‘Ki’ have the following meanings; Rei stands for holy, spirit, mystery, gift, nature spirit, or invisible spirit. Ki means energy, nature scene, talent and feeling. I like to play with these words - see the ways they can fit together…

holy spirit

energy

mystery

nature scene

gift

talent

invisible spirit

feeling

There are three degrees of initiation in Reiki – the first degree opens you up to Reiki and healing through the laying on of hands. The second degree teaches the art of distance healing, as well as strengthening the first degree. I recommend waiting at least one month after first degree initiation before taking the second degree. Each degree is taught in a weekend.

The third degree is the Masters – after this you can initiate others. You need to have been practising Reiki for some time, and be very dedicated to this path, in order to take the third degree.

Pip was initiated into the first degree in 1994, the second degree in 1995, both by Krishni Borang (Alliance Master). In 2003 her dad David Waller, who is a Reiki Master initiated by Jason Light of Bournemouth, attuned her to the third degree.

Welcome to Reiki. May it bring you as much joy and healing as it brings to me!
